Frequently asked questions.

Where are in-person therapy sessions held?

You can find my therapy room in central Brighton at: 1 The Offices, 10 Fleet Street, Brighton, BN1 4ZE

Although it says Fleet Street on the address, its actually tucked away in the pedestrianised area which you can reach via Sinclair Walk, linking Fleet Street with New England Road. You can find more detailed directions here.

Is online therapy as good as in-person?

Yes! All the important ingredients of an in-person therapy session can be replicated via a an online video session, and with the recent pandemic organisations such as the British Psychological Society and the Oxford Centre for Anxiety Disorders and Trauma (OxCADAT) have developed guidance to make therapy easier to adapt for remote working.

How should I prepare for my therapy session?

For an in-person session you may find it helpful to have a look at the directions and transport options ahead of time. A video session may take a little more planning - you will need a confidential space to talk, a secure internet connection, and access to a working camera and microphone. In either case it may also be helpful to have a think ahead of time about what it is that you want help with, and how you would like to see things change with the right support. You might not know the answers to these questions right away, and we can talk more in session about what that might look like for you moving forwards.

Will my insurer cover my therapy?

At the moment I do not work with any insurers, and therefore all sessions are privately funded.
